I wish I could say I was a bit more productive this week then I ended up being. Unfortunately, ended up DNF’ing a book I was reading, and work has been pretty busy this week so I didn’t have the energy to try catching up where I had fallen behind. The way I see it is I still have time to catch up, and this week is already shaping up to be a bit more productive!
Reviews |
This week I read and reviewed 2 books. First up was LIFEL1K3 by Jay Kristoff.
Young Adult Science Fiction. This was a wild ride from start to finish, one that I greatly enjoyed! The book ended with a great deal of promise too and I’m excited to see where the story goes next.
I also read A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas.
New Adult Fantasy Romance. One of the most hyped fantasy romance series around. I enjoyed it, but not quite as much as I’d hoped. Onwards to book 2!
Netgalley |
I just caved yesterday, and requested a whole slew of ARCs on Netgalley. No approvals to speak of as of yet, but next week I might have half a dozen to report. We’ll see!
Bookstagram |
Here are the photos I released this week on Instagram! Follow me @bookbastion to see the rest of my snaps in real time.
Book Tags|
Book Tag | 20 Questions – I’ve decided I’m going to participate in at least one book tag a week. This week I thought a game of 20 questions to get to know me a bit better was a good idea!
Top 10 Tuesday |
This week’s top 10 Tuesday was so much fun! Books I’d Slay a Lion to Get Early! I’ve been really into researching new release titles lately, so I was pretty well prepared for this one, and discovered some new titles that I am really excited about too!
Badges Collected |
How is your month going? Reading anything great? Writing anything? Let me know in the comments section below!
xoxo
This month’s gonna be packed for me. I blame myself😁 When I signed up for Netgalley I didn’t expect to get quite so many approved! From now on when I request books I’ll keep an eye on the publish dates so I don’t get a whole slew of books crammed in one month!
I’m starting on Bearer’s Burden(sci-fi) today, might write a May TBR list…

acotar is a guilty pleasure read. lol. for some reason my brain completely shut off all the things i’m supposed to dislike about including the almost too perfect female lead. lol. i do hope you continue to book 2. i think that’s the best book in the series. 😊

I managed to finish 3 books as of today (since the beginning of this month), but I am being a bit slow at the moment, I need to pick up the pace! I have never read Sarah J. Maas, I might as well give that series a try 🙂

I finished 3 books this week so I am happy as I tend to read less since blogging. Now your week was not so bad! And I wish for you that you get approved for your ARCs. I try to tone it down or I feel too much pressure! Happy Sunday Bentley!

3 books in one week is amazing! I am so slowww right now. Blogging almost daily definitely slows down my reading too.

NetGalley gets me every time and now I only occasionally check to see what’s going on or I end up requesting too many! Looks like you had a good week to me! ❤ You're making me want to join Instagram with your beautiful pics! Have a great week, Bentley!

I do the same thing Mischenko! I only go to Netgalley once I’ve read almost everything I’ve already requested. It’s too easy to overwhelm myself. I hope you do join Instagram! If you do, make sure to let me know. 🙂

Thank you, emma! I worried people might find the badges trite, so I’m glad you like them! They help motivate me to keep reading.

My month is very hectic!! I’ve taken myself out of the 9-5 hamster wheel and decided to work from home as a freelancer, I’ve just com back to blogging, and I have like a million books to read and review. But I’m hopeful that it’ll be a good month.

Thank you! It is definitely not a get rich scheme and it takes a lot of time building it up. Lots of odd jobs to build clientele but I really feel that it’ll be worth it.
